ELIAHBA (ē-lī'a-ba). A Shaalbonite, and a member of David’s famous guard (2Sam.23.32; 1Chr.11.33).


ELIAHBA ĭ lī’ ə bə (אֶלְיַחְבָּא, LXX 2 Sam 23:32, ̓Ελιασου; 1 Chron 11:33, ̓Ελιαβα, God hides). One of the “thirty,” David’s elite guard, a Shaalbonite (2 Sam 23:32). He is listed among those who are called “the mighy men of the armies” (1 Chron 11:33).
