Eleutherus
ELEUTHERUS ĭ lōō’ thər əs (Ελεύθερος, free). A small river flowing from the Lebanon Mountains across Phoenicia to the [[Mediterranean Sea]]. It marked the northern limit of two expeditions by Jonathan the Maccabee (1 Macc 11:7; 12:30).
