ELEASAH (ĕ'lē-ā-sah, Heb. ’el‘āsâh, God has made)

A Hezronite (1Chr.2.39-1Chr.2.40).A Benjamite, a descendant of Saul (1Chr.8.37; 1Chr.9.43).

ELEASAH ĕl’ ĭ ā’ sə (אֶלְעָשָׂ֥ה, LXX 1 Chron 2:39f.; 9:43, ̓Ελεασα; 1 Chron 8:37, ̓Ελασα, God has made, in Heb. this name is the same as Elasah, q.v.). 1. A member of the tribe of Judah, the son of Helez and father of Sismai (1 Chron 2:39f.).

2. A member of the tribe of Benjamin and a descendant of Saul, the son of Raphah and father of Azel (1 Chron 8:37; 9:43). (Really the same name as Elasah, q.v.)
