Coverlet
COVERLET, Heb. הַמַּכְבֵּר, a hapax legomenon in 2 Kings 8:15, “thick cloth” (KJV). The term is similar to several other equally unknown words, but it has traditionally been derived from the root kābār, “to multiply” as in weaving, cognate to Akkad., “to be great,” “to be thick” in which case the KJV is to be preferred.
