Catherine of Sweden

1331-1381. The daughter of Bridget of Sweden,* she succeeded her mother as head of the Brigittine Order, and under Catherine the order was confirmed. Her attempt to secure the canonization of her mother, however, came to nothing. She was an ally of Catherine of Siena* and supported Urban VI and his followers during the Great Schism.
