BETH EMEK (bĕth' ā'mĕk, house of the valley). A city mentioned in Josh.19.27 as in the Valley of Iphtah El on the edge of Asher’s territory. It is not yet identified.
BETH-EMEK bĕth e’ mĭk (Heb. בֵּ֥ית הָעֵ֖מֶק), a place name located in the boundaries and towns of Asher and mentioned only in Joshua 19:27, possibly the site of Tell-el-Mīmās about five m. NE of Acco. Various meanings have been suggested, prob. “house-of-the-low ground.”

A town in the territory of Zebulun (Jos 19:27). It has not been identified, but must be sought somewhere East of Acre, not far from Kabul, the ancient Cabul.
