Beth Asmoth
BETH-ASMOTH, BETHASMOTH bə thăz’ mŏth (Gr. Βαιτασμων, variant Bethsamos [KJV] a Hel. form of Azmaveth [q.v.]). Beth-asmoth occurs in 1 Esdras 5:18 as the origin of a group which returned with Zerubbabel from Babylon.

(the King James Version Bethsamos; Baithasmoth (1 Esdras 5:18); corresponds to Beth-azmaveth in Ne 7:28): A town in the territory of Benjamin, and may be identified with the modern el-Hizmeh.
