ATTAI (ăt'a-ī)

A half-Egyptian member of the tribe of Judah (1Chr.2.35-1Chr.2.36).A mighty man of Gad who joined David (1Chr.12.11).Younger brother of Abijah, king of Judah (2Chr.11.20).



ATTAI ăt’ ī (עַתָּֽי). 1. The son of Jarha, an Egyp. slave; father of Nathan; named in the genealogy of Jerahmeel (1 Chron 2:35, 36).

2. A Gadite warrior who joined David’s army at Ziklag (1 Chron 12:11).

3. A son of Rehoboam by his wife Maacah; grandson of Solomon (2 Chron 11:20).
