Antiochis

ANTIOCHIS ăn tī’ ə kĭs (̓Αντιοχίς). A concubine of Antiochus IV, Epiphanes (2 Macc 4:30). When the king presented the Cilician cities of Tarsus and Mallus to his mistress as a gift, these cities revolted in protest.

A concubine of Antiochus Epiphanes who had presented her with the two Cilician cities, Tarsus and Mallus. Dissatisfied with this the cities made insurrection (2 Macc 4:30).
