Anaiah
ANAIAH (a-nī'ah, Heb. ‘ănāyâh, Jehovah has answered)
A prince or priest who assisted in the reading of the law to the people (Neh.8.4).One of those who, with Nehemiah, sealed the covenant (Neh.10.22). Nos. 1 and 2 may be the same person.
ANAIAH ə nā’ yə (עֲנָיָה, H6717, Jehovah has answered). 1. A Levite who helped Ezra read the Law to the people (Neh 8:4; 1 Esd 9:43, RSV; KJV, ASV ANANIAS.
2. One of those who sealed the covenant (Neh 10:22). He may have been the same as the above.

an-a-i’-a, a-ni’-a (`anayah, "Yah has answered"):
(1) a Levite who assisted Ezr in reading the law to the people (Ne 8:4), perhaps the person called Ananias in Esdras 9:43.
(2) One of those who sealed the covenant (Ne 10:22). He may have been the same as Anaiah (1).
