New Class: Essentials of Ephesians
We’re excited to share a new class with you: "The Essentials of Ephesians" by Dr. Jarvis Williams.
When we say “Essentials,” we mean something simple and accessible—just a three-hour class designed for anyone who wants to better understand the Bible. No seminary training required.
Dr. Williams brings his characteristic energy and clarity as he walks through Ephesians. He explores the work of the Trinity in chapter 1, the spiritual blessings we’ve been given, the mystery of God’s will, and Paul’s powerful prayer for the church. And, as always with Paul, theology and daily life are woven together—challenging us to live in a way worthy of God’s calling.
We’re able to create and give away classes like this because of people like you. Your support makes it possible for anyone, anywhere in the world, to access solid biblical teaching—for free. Thank you for being part of that.
The power of a readable translation
A few weeks ago, we recorded a class on 1 and 2 Thessalonians with Dr. Douglas Moo. During the recording, someone in the audience suddenly lit up with joy when she realized that Doug and I both work on the NIV translation. She shared her story with us.
She had struggled with addiction for years and couldn’t stay sober. Then someone gave her a Bible she could actually understand — the NIV. For the first time, Scripture made sense to her. She has now been sober ever since. She told us she credits that change, in large part, to being able to understand what the Bible says. It was a powerful reminder: when people can understand Scripture, lives change. I hope you’ll take a moment to listen to her story.
Thank you.

P.S. The photo above is of the theater in Ephesus, where the crowd shouted, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!” (Acts 19:28) in an attempt to drown out Paul. They didn’t succeed—and the gospel is still being heard today.
