Robert H. Stein, PhD, is a world-renowned scholar specializing in the Synoptic Gospels and has authored numerous influential works, including Mark in the Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament, Studying the Synoptic Gospels, Luke, and Jesus the Messiah. With nearly 30 years of teaching experience at Bethel Seminary, Dr. Stein later served as the Mildred and Ernest Hogan Chair of New Testament at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where he continued his distinguished career as senior professor of New Testament interpretation. He is widely recognized for his contributions to the study of hermeneutical issues and the gospels, with a prolific record of published books and journal articles. Dr. Stein holds a PhD from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Master of Sacred Theology (STM) from Andover Newton Seminary, a Bachelor of Divinity (BD) from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Rutgers University.
