Lael

LAEL (lā'ĕl). A member of the family of Gershon, father of Eliasaph (Num.3.24). Meaning “belonging to God,” the name is almost unique in the OT. It is formed by the addition of the divine name “el” to the preposition “la.”

LAEL lā’ əl (לָאֵֽל). A Gershonite Levite; the father of Eliasaph (Num 3:24).
