JOAHAZ (jō'a-hăz, Heb. yô’āhāz, Jehovah has grasped). Father of Joah, who was the recorder of King Josiah (2Chr.34.8).


JOAHAZ. Alternate form of Jehoahaz.

(yo’-achaz, "Yahweh has grasped" = "Jehoahaz"):

(1) Father of JOAH (4) (2Ch 34:8).

(2) the Revised Version (British and American) and Hebrew in 2Ki 14:1 for Jehoahaz, king of Israel.
