Jemuel

JEMUEL (jē-mū'ĕl, Heb. yemû’ēl, meaning unknown). A son of Simeon (Gen.46.10; Exod.6.15). He is called “Nemuel” in Num.26.12 and 1Chr.4.24.

JEMUEL jĕm’ yŏŏ əl (יְמוּאֵ֧ל). A son of Simeon (Gen 46:10; Exod 6:15); called Nemuel in Numbers 26:12; 1 Chronicles 4:24.

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)

A "son" of Simeon (Ge 46:10; Ex 6:15) = "Nemuel" in Nu 26:12; 1Ch 4:24.

The Syriac version has "Jemuel" in the 4 passages, but Gray (H P N, 307, note 6) thinks "Jemuel" is more probably a correction in Ge than "Nemuel" in Numbers.
