Jekameam

JEKAMEAM (jĕkă-mē'-ăm, Heb. yeqam‘ām, the kinsman will raise up). The head of a Levitical house (1Chr.23.19; 1Chr.24.23).


JEKAMEAM jĕk’ ə me’ əm (יְקַמְעָ֖ם). A Levite; son of Hebron (1 Chron 23:19; 24:23).

jek-a-me’-am, je-kam’-e-am (yeqam`-am probably "may kinsman establish"): Head of a Levitical house (1Ch 23:19; 24:23). The meaning of the name depends upon that of (`am) in compound names; see H P N, 46, 51 ff.
