ISSHIAH (ĭs’shī'a, Heb. yishshîyāhû, Jehovah exists)

A man of Issachar (niv 1Chr.7.3; Izrachiah in jb, kjv, mlb, nasb, neb, rsv).One of those who came to David at Ziklag (1Chr.12.6, Jesiah in kjv).A Levite of the house of Rehabiah (1Chr.24.21).A Levite of the house of Uzziel (1Chr.23.20; 1Chr.24.25).



ISSHIAH ĭ shī’ ə (יִשִּׁיָּ֛ה). KJV ISHIAH (1 Chron 7:3) and JESIAH (12:6; 23:20). 1. A member of the tribe of Issachar (7:3).

2. Mentioned in list of David’s mighty men (12:6).

3. A Levite, son of Uzziel (23:20; 24:25).

4. A Levite, chief of the family of Rehabiah (24:21).
