Gibbar

GIBBAR (gĭb'ar). A man whose children returned from captivity with Zerubbabel (Ezra.2.20). Perhaps the Gibeon of Neh.7.25.

GIBBAR gĭb’ är (גִּבָּ֖ר). The ancestor of one of the families who returned with Zerubbabel from exile (Ezra 2:20 RSV). The parallel passage in Nehemiah 7:25 has “sons of Gibeon.” Since the returning exiles begin to be listed by their city rather than their ancestor in the immediately following entry in Ezra 2:21, it is not certain which is the original reading.

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)

(gibbar, "hero"):, In Ezr 2:20 the "children of Gibbar" are mentioned among those who returned with Zerubbabel. The parallel passage (Ne 7:25) has "children of Gibeon."
