BETHSHEMITE bĕth’ shĕm’ īt (בֵּֽית־הַשִּׁמְשִׁי). a person from Beth-shemesh (1 Sam 6:14, 18 KJV). Rendered by RSV, “the men of Beth-shemesh” (1 Sam 6:15, 19).
