Bannas

BANNAS băn’ əs (Βάννος; KJV BANUAS). The ancestor of some Levites who returned from the Exile with Zerubbabel (1 Esd 5:26). The name is not found in the parallel passage (Ezra 2:40).

A name occurring in the list of those who returned from the captivity with Zerubbabel (1 Esdras 5:26). Bannas and Sudias are represented by Hoodaviah in the lists of Ezra and Nehemiah.
