Baiterus

BAITERUS bā’ tə rəv (Βαιτηρου̂ς; KJV METERUS). The head of a family that returned from the Exile with Zerubbabel (1 Esd 5:17). The name is omitted in the parallels Ezra 2:3ff. and Nehemiah 7:8ff.

Baiterous; (the King James Version Meterus): The descendants of Baiterus returned with Zerubbabel to Jerusalem (1 Esdras 5:17). Omitted in Ezr 2 and Ne 7.
