ARZA (ăr'za). A steward of Elah, a king of Israel. It was in his house at Tirzah that Zimri murdered Elah while the king was drunk (1Kgs.16.9).

ARZA är’ zə (אַרְצָ֔א). The steward of Elah, king of Israel, in whose house at Tirzah, Zimri, the king’s military commander, murdered the king during a drinking debauch (1 Kings 16:9, 10).

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)

A steward of King Elah, in whose house at Tirzah Zimri murdered the king at a drinking debauch. The text is not quite clear, and Arza might have been a servant of Zimri (1Ki 16:9).
