Essentials of Christian Education
About This Class
It is important to determine what questions you ask and the process you use to create your curriculum so that you can clearly communicate the gospel and challenge people to apply it in practical ways to their lives. How do you communicate the gospel within the setting of a church? Who are you teaching? What are you teaching? Why? These questions and more are answered in a way that will help you train up people in your local congregation, and especially train up the next generation.
These lectures are a summary of the full course, Educational Ministry of the Church. It is an introductory level course to the ministry of education within the church. These lectures were recorded by Biblical Training during the summer of 2003.

About the Professor
Gary Parrett
Dr. Gary Parrett, a professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary from 1998 to 2010, specializes in Christian education, catechesis, and worship. He has over 20 years of pastoral experience and has co-authored several books, including "Grounded in the Gospel." After surviving a tragic 2010 bus accident in Korea, Dr. Parrett continues to teach and equip pastors worldwide contributing hundreds of hymns for worship and is a regular speaker at conferences.
