Gate of the Guard

GUARD, GATE OF THE (שַׁ֖עַר הַמַּטָּרָֽה; LXX πύλη τη̂ς φυλακη̂ς). KJV PRISON GATE. A gate of the city of Jerusalem. It is likely the same as the Muster Gate (Neh 3:31) at the NE corner of the city near the Temple compound. At the dedication of the wall, the second group sent by Nehemiah to march in procession on the wall stopped at the Gate of the Guard (12:39).
