Frederick Lucian Hosmer

1840-1929. American Unitarian clergyman. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts, he graduated from Harvard in Arts and Divinity and subsequently was pastor of several Unitarian churches, including First Unitarian, Berkeley, California, from which he retired in 1904. Considered a liberal even in his denomination, Hosmer devoted his remaining years to hymn and verse writing. Among his publications is Unity Hymns and Chorals (1880).
