Colloquy of Hagenau

1540. Called by the emperor Charles V in an attempted reconciliation between his Lutheran and Roman Catholic subjects. Hermann von Wied, Johann Gropper, and Martin Bucer were among the participants. The Colloquy had no permanent results. It was adjourned to meet in Worms in November 1540.
