Charles Gallaudet Trumbull

1872-1941. Evangelical writer and journalist. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, he graduated from Yale and joined The Sunday School Times, founded by his father in 1893. He became editor in 1903 and later director (it ceased publication in 1967). He was for a long time a staff writer for the Toronto Globe, and he also wrote the weekly Sunday school lesson for several daily newspapers, including the Philadelphia Evening Public Ledger. His many interests included membership of the Victoria Institute, the Palestine Exploration Fund, and the Archaeological Institute of America. A supporter of missions, he wrote books that were evangelistic and prophetic.
