New Seminar: Worship Pastors and their Teams

We are delighted to announce our new seminar on worship, led by Carl Cartee. Carl has been running worship conferences and 9-month worship internships for years, and is himself an accomplished musician and songwriter (he has been awarded two Dove awards). Carl was the first worship pastor we knew who was as quick to talk about the worship leader's character as he was their musical ability; that's when we knew he was the person to lead the class.

But now, Bill Mounce is moving his blog on spiritual growth from his personal site to BiblicalTraining, and so we are combining these two blogs under the new name, The Path, Bill's favorite metaphor for the Christian life (Matthew 7:13–14). New Class Announcement: The Spiritual Life of the Leader

We are happy to announce a new Institute class: "The Spiritual Life of the Leader." The speaker is Dr. Stephen Martyn (not the banjo player, as he says). This is a critical class in the life of a church. Pastors and other leaders are so busy taking care of others that they often fail to take care of themselves. And pastors especially are prone to attack from unhappy people in the church and often do not know how to handle the conflict. This is one reason why only 1 out of 10 seminary-trained pastors are still in ministry within ten years of graduation.
