Are you interested in an in-depth study of the book of Job?

We are excited to announce the release of our new class on the Old Testament book of Job. It is taught by Dr. Duane Garrett from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is now available at no cost in the Institute program of BiblicalTraining.org.

Pain is everywhere and so often the world looks like life is totally chaotic. This was certainly Job’s experience when he lost almost everything, including his personal understanding of how the world works. He cries out to God that he wishes he had never been born, in fact that the world had never been created; and with friends like his, nobody needs enemies. They insisted that all pain is due to sin, and Job correctly asserts his innocence.

One of the highlights of this class is Dr. Garrett’s understanding that God does not berate Job. God calls on Job to believe that in the midst of apparent chaos, God is in fact fully in control. God has never minded when his children call out to him in pain.

There is a massive spiritual battle going on that we rarely witness, and which at times impacts you as a believer. This truth from the book of Job, and God’s call for faith, is what can carry all of us through our times of pain and disappointment.

While our recommendation is to listen to all the lectures in the class, that is especially important for this class. From lesson to lesson, Dr. Garrett is building a case for the freedom and sovereignty and justice of God. We trust you will enjoy the class which is available online or via our mobile app.
