Zoheleth

ZOHELETH (zō'hē-lĕth, Heb. zōheleth, serpent). A stone beside En Rogel where Adonijah, fourth son of David and older than Solomon, gathered his conspirators before David’s death. He sacrificed sheep and oxen, attempting to make himself king at or before the death of his father. The plot was revealed to David, who had Solomon anointed, and thus the plot was foiled (1Kgs.1.1-1Kgs.1.53, esp. 1Kgs.1.9). The exact site of Zoheleth is unknown.
