WEDGE (Heb. lāshôn zāhāv, tongue of gold). The English word occurs only in Josh.7.21, Josh.7.24, where the Hebrew word lashon (“tongue”) indicates the shape. A more accurate translation than “golden wedge” (Isa.13.12kjv) would be simply “gold” (as in most other versions).
