WASHBASIN (סִ֬יר רַחַץ). A word used only in Psalm 60:8; 108:9 (KJV WASHPOT), where God says, “Moab is my washbasin,” meaning that Moab is to be held in contempt, like a washbasin in which soiled hands and feet are washed.
