Upper Chamber of the Corner

CORNER, UPPER CHAMBER OF THE (עֲלִיָּה, H6608, roof chamber; פִּנָּה, H7157, corner). The tr. of the RSV in Nehemiah 3:31, 32.

In Nehemiah’s description of the walls and gates of Jerusalem the “roof chamber” (3:31, 32), possibly a watchtower, is connected with the NE corner of the Temple area E of the Sheep Gate, N of the Muster Gate.
