Semakiah
SEMAKIAH (sĕm'a-kī'a, the Lord has sustained). A Levite, a descendant of the gatekeeper Obed-Edom (1Chr.26.7).
SEMACHIAH sĕm’ ə kī’ ə (סְמַכְיָֽהוּ, Jehovah has sustained). A Korahite family of gatekeepers (1 Chron 26:7). “Ismachiah” in 2 Chronicles 31:13 should prob. be “Semachiah.”

A Korahite family of gatekeepers (1Ch 26:7). Perhaps the same name should be substituted for "Ismachiah" in 2Ch 31:13 (see HPN, 291, 295).
