The Pelonite

PELONITE, THE pĕl’ ə nīt (פְּלוֹנִֽי). A designation applied to Helez and Ahijah, two of David’s thirty heroes (1 Chron 11:27; 27:10). Ahijah is prob. the same as Eliam in 2 Samuel 23:34. In 2 Samuel 23:26 Helez is called the Paltite—native of Beth-pelet.
