Maaziah
MAAZIAH (mā-a-zī'a, Heb. ma‘azyâhû, consolation of the Lord)
A priest of the twenty-four sons of Eleazar and Ithamar, sons of Aaron, to whom was assigned the twenty-fourth division to serve in the tabernacle (1Chr.24.18).A priest who sealed the covenant with Nehemiah (Neh.10.8).
MAAZIAH mā’ ə zī’ ə (מַֽעַזְיָ֖הוּ). 1. A family of priests which formed the 24th course in the time of King David (1 Chron 24:18).
2. A priest who signed the covenant of Ezra (Neh 10:8).
