Jedidiah

JEDIDIAH (jĕd'ĭ-dī'a, beloved of Jehovah). Either David or Bathsheba named their baby boy “Solomon,” but because of God’s love for the child the prophet Nathan gave him this name (2Sam.12.24-2Sam.12.25).


JEDIDIAH jĕd’ ə dī’ ə (יְדִ֣ידְיָ֑הּ, beloved of Yahweh). The name which God gave, through the prophet Nathan, to Solomon when he was born (2 Sam 12:25).
