Jacques Bridaine
1701-1767. French Roman Catholic preacher. He conducted missions in towns and villages all across France; these led to many conversions. His style of preaching was extemporaneous in a day when this was extremely rare. Bridaine edited a volume of Cantiques spirituals (Spiritual Songs, 1748) which passed through more than fifty editions. A number of books containing his thoughts and sermons were published, including five volumes of sermons.
