JAASU (jā'ă-sū, Heb. ya‘ăsu). One of a number of captives who married alien women but put them away when a council headed by Ezra demanded that they do so (Ezra.10.16-Ezra.10.19, Ezra.10.37).

Septuagint translates the consonantal text as a verb, kai epoiesan, "and they did." 1 Esdras 9:34 has "Eliasis."
