ISHMERAI (ĭsh'mē-rī, Heb. yishmeray, Jehovah keeps). A Benjamite, son of Elpaal, resident of Jerusalem (1Chr.8.18).

ISHMERAI ĭsh’ mə rī (יִשְׁמְרַ֧י, may God preserve). A descendant of Benjamin, a son of Elpaal, who lived in Jerusalem (1 Chron 8:18).

A descendant of Benjamin, son of Epaal, resident of Jerusalem, one of the "heads of fathers’ houses throughout their generations, chief men" (1Ch 8:18).
