HADAR (hā'dar)

According to Gen.25.15 in KJV, a son of Ishmael, but the Hebrew, NIV, and ASV, supported by 1Chr.1.30, call him Hadad.The last of the ancient kings of Edom (Gen.36.39; niv, Hadad), but in 1Chr.1.50-1Chr.1.51 he also is called Hadad. The two names are easily confused in Hebrew.
