Grisled

GRISLED. The KJV archaic term used to tr. the pl. adjective בְּרֻדִּ֖ים, “spotted,” “speckled.” A better rendering would be “dappled.” In Zechariah 6:3, 6 it referred to the color of certain horses and prob. meant “mottled,” “spotted” or “dappled gray” (Zech 6:3, 6; cf. Gen 31:10, 11.
