GINATH (gĭ'năth, protector). The father of Tibni, a contender for the throne of Israel (1Kgs.16.21).
GINATH gĭ’ năth (גִּינַת, meaning uncertain). The father of Tibni who contended with Omri for the throne of Israel when Zimri committed suicide after murdering Elah, son of Baasha (1 Kings 16:21f.).
