Fructuosus

d.259. Bishop of Tarragona in Spain, Fructuosus with two deacons was arraigned before Roman officers for refusing to offer sacrifice to Roman state gods. They contravened the edicts of Valerian and Gallienus in a.d. 257-58, requiring nonpagans to join in Roman religious ceremonies. He was burnt to death.
