Fracture

FRACTURE, RSV rendering of the Heb. שָׁבַר, H8689, “break.” It is a common verb in the OT but is tr. “fracture” in Leviticus 24:20 only, KJV “breach.” KJV renders the same verb “breach” in Psalm 60:2; Proverbs 15:4; Isaiah 30:26; Jeremiah 14:17; Lamentations 2:13. Modern rendering of “break” is to be preferred.
