ERI (ē'rī, Heb. ‘ērî, my watcher). The fifth son of Gad (Gen.46.16).

ERI, ERITES ĭr’ ī, ĭr’ īts (עֵרִ֥י, perhaps related to a verb meaning arouse oneself). Eri is the fifth son of Gad, the grandson of Jacob (Gen 46:16), and ancestor of the Erites (Num 26:16).
