Donald Grey Barnhouse
1895-1960. Presbyterian minister and radio preacher. Born in Watsonville, California, he studied at various institutions including the universities of Chicago and Princeton, culminating in a Th.D. degree from Aix-en- Provence, France. In 1919 he joined the Belgian Gospel Mission. From 1919 to 1921 he was director of a Bible school in Brussels, and later he worked in several small French Reformed churches. Returning to the USA (1927), he began a thirty-three-year pastorate at Tenth Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia. He became a noted radio preacher and just prior to his death had completed eleven years of weekly broadcasts devoted to the epistle to the Romans. He was editor of Revelation magazine (1931-49), and of Eternity magazine (1950-60). He was the author of numerous books.
