Diklah
DIKLAH (dĭk'lă). Son of Joktan, and his descendants who probably lived in Arabia (Gen.10.27; 1Chr.1.21).
DIKLAH dĭk’ lə (דִּקְלָֽה; LXX Δεκλα; datepalm). A Sem. tribe descended from Eber through Joktan (Gen 10:27; 1 Chron 1:21). Traditionally Joktan is the ancestor of the S Arabians, but the specific place names of Genesis 10:30 are difficult to identify. See J. Simons, The Geographical and Topographical Texts of the Old Testament, 136.
International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)
