DAPPLED dap’ ld (בָּרֹד, H1353, spotted, marked, from the root ברד, hail; LXX ποικίλοι, many-colored, spotted). A term used to describe some horses in a vision of Zechariah (6:3, 6 KJV grisled, ASV grizzled). The RSV trs. the same Heb. word “mottled” in Genesis 31:10, 12 (KJV grisled, ASV grizzled).
