Campus Crusade For Christ
An evangelistic organization working primarily with college students in the USA. Over 2,000 staff members (missionaries), most of them in America, seek in a personal conversation to present the Gospel in the form of “four spiritual laws.” Headquarters for the organization are in a converted luxury hotel called Arrowhead Springs, near San Bernardino, California. The 1,800-acre site provides administrative offices and training facilities for nearly 5,000 collegians annually. The organization was created in 1951 shortly after William R. Bright, a young businessman, was converted. He attended Princeton and Fuller theological seminaries, but left school in order to contact student leaders at the University of California at Los Angeles. From UCLA the organization spread to many other campuses. Recently other ministries with laymen, athletes, military men, and high school students have been added.
